Delta County natives to enter UP Literary Hall of Fame
ESCANABA — Three authors are being inducted into the Upper Peninsula Literary Hall of Fame Thursday. This year will be the second installment of the ceremony. Last year, Jim Harrison, Sally Brunk, Robert Trevor and Sue Harrison were inducted into the Upper Peninsula Literary Hall of Fame at the Bayliss Public Library in Sault Ste. Marie.
Primary Election voter forum scheduled for July 24
ESCANABA — The Delta County League of Women Voters (LWVDC) in partnership with the American Association of University Women (AAUW) will host a Primary Candidate Forum on Wednesday, July 24, at 6:30 p.m. at the Escanaba City Council Chambers, 410 Ludington Street. The forum will feature the Delta County Clerk and Register of Deeds candidates, Republicans Nancy Prezewrocki and Elizabeth Moberg and the contested Delta County Commissioner candidates for all Districts.

Players de Noc moves Playing Dead: A Cemetery Walk to July
ESCANABA — October has arguably been the busiest month for Players de Noc over the past three years. With the season opener taking the first two weekends, the group’s historical cemetery walk on the following weekend and The Night of Magic and Wizardry finishing the month. In order to ease some of that workload for Players’ members and volunteers, Playing Dead: A Cemetery Walk with Players de Noc has been moved to July 16, 19 and 20 this year.
