    Party in the Park returns this summer. Here's the concert lineup

    This July, The Record Company will be headlining the 27th Annual Party in the Park Concert Series.

    On Thursday, July 11, families can gather at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Park to enjoy the headliner and opening band, the North Mississippi Allstars. This will be the first of the series and each concert will be held every Thursday through August 15.

    “Party in the Park showcases Rochester’s vibrant Downtown and our longstanding love for music,” said Mayor Malik D. Evans in a press release. “I invite the entire community to come enjoy the world-class entertainment that has made this signature City event a valuable community favorite for 28 years and counting.”

    This year’s Party in the Park concert series includes:

    • July 11 - The Record Company; North Mississippi Allstars
    • July 18 - The Seven Wonders; Zac Brown Tribute Band
    • July 25 - The Original Wailers with Al Anderson; Badfish, A Tribute to Sublime
    • Aug. 1 - Start Making Sense; Into the Now
    • Aug. 8 - Cruel Summer: A Taylor Swift Live Band Tribute; Dial Up
    • Aug. 15 - Everclear; Shamarr Allen

    ASL interpretation will be available for all headlining acts.

    Tickets are now on sale for $7 and free for children 12 and under. Tickets to the VIP Ultra Lounge are $35 . The VIP Ultra Lounge provides exclusive access to premium seating with private restrooms, a full cash bar, table service, front-stage access, and complimentary chair massages.

    Guests can also enjoy the Craft Beer Garden and Wine Time Bar featuring a rotating showcase of New York State’s best IPAs, ciders, stouts, and more. Each show will feature happy hour specials from 6–7:30 p.m.

    What’s new this year?

    Before the weekly concerts, the East & Alex Business Association will feature food and drink specials from 4 – 6 p.m. at several restaurants and pubs along East Avenue, between Alexander and Union Street. Select businesses will also host buskers in front of their establishments.

    What to bring and where to park

    Guests can bring one sealed bottle of water to the concerts. Lawn chairs, bicycles, skateboards, in-line skates, and pets are prohibited. A strict no-smoking policy will be enforced.

    • Court Street Garage
    • 194 Court St.
    • East End Garage
    • 475 E. Main St.
    • The Strong Museum, 1 Manhattan Square
