ORCHARD PARK - For the third week in a row to start the 2024 NFL season, the Buffalo Bills have a player honored in the league’s weekly awards.

Josh Allen on Wednesday was named AFC offensive player of the week for his performance in Monday night’s 47-10 blowout over the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Allen completed 23 of 30 passes for 266 yards with four touchdowns, and he also ran six times for 44 yards with five of his carries resulting in first downs.

This comes on the heels of edge rusher Greg Rousseau winning the AFC defensive player of the week in Week 1 for this three-sack effort against the Cardinals , and running back James Cook winning the offensive award for his Week 2 game against the Dolphins when he scored three touchdowns.

For Allen, it’s the 13th time he has won a player of the week award, the most in Bills history, but his first since Week 4 of the 2023 season following a game in which he lit up the Dolphins. Allen becomes the 10th quarterback to win player of the week 13-or-more times, tying Joe Montana. Allen’s 13 awards are the most among any player since entering the NFL in 2018.
