Saturday's clash of Section V powerhouses will require prior ticket purchase: Details

If your plans on Saturday include watching the high school football game between East/World of Inquiry and Monroe , you might want to make a phone call soon.

And you should forget about buying tickets on gameday at Monroe. All tickets must be purchased by Friday.

The pool of 400 tickets available has shrunk quickly, and can only be purchased through Monroe athletic director Matt McCormick or his counterpart at East High, Eric Robinson. There is anticipation of a sell-out before the end of the school day Friday, likely before then at East.

Section V and league passes are valid for entry, Monroe principal Jason Muhammad said.

"We have signs that were going to put up when the tickets sell out," Muhammad said. "If you wait until Saturday, you will be sad."
