Top Halloween candies in 2024 ranked. Are they what you expected?

New Yorkers apparently have a sour-then-sweet tooth when it comes to Halloween candy.

CandyStore.com , the team that reveals the most sought-after brands of candy each year, says New York's top Halloween candy is Sour Patch Kids in this year's "Most Popular Halloween Candy" report.

According to the National Confectioners Association , 97% of Americans who welcome trick-or-treaters will hand out chocolate and candy this season. And two-thirds of those people say they give trick-or-treaters two to three pieces of candy.
