Lyons man killed in motorcycle crash in Wayne County

A man was killed in a motorcycle crash over the weekend in Lyons, Wayne County.

The crash occurred on Layton Street Road in Lyons just after 2:40 p.m. Saturday, according to New York State Police.

Roger A. Silcox, 59, of Lyons was traveling south on Layton Street Road, exited the road and struck a tree, troopers said. He was taken to Newark Wayne Community Hospital, where he died.

Troopers are investigating the single-vehicle crash.
