Pittsford Sutherland standout is Section V's Boys Athlete of the Week presented by Faber Builders

With almost 19,000 votes, Will Tempest is the Section V's Boys Athlete of the Week for Sept. 30 - Oct. 6 presented by Faber Builders.

The Pittsford Sutherland senior, who delayed the start of his cross country season, followed up a first-place finish in a Monroe County league meet at Barker Road Middle School by winning the Marcus Whitman Cross Country Invitational. Two runners from Alden in Section VI came in second- and third-place.

During the fall season, the poll launches on Mondays at democratandchronicle.com to determine the Athlete of the Week from the previous week's top performances. Your vote determines who is honored as Section V 's best.
