Over two million infant swings sold in the U.S. are being recalled after five deaths were reported over the course of 10 years.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) issued a recall of all Fisher-Price Snuga Swings on Thursday, Oct. 10 due to a suffocation hazard.

Five deaths were reported between 2012-2022 when the products, which were manufactured in China and Mexico and distributed by Fisher-Price of East Aurora, NY, were used for sleep, according to the recall notice. Most of the infants, who were between 1-3 years old, were unrestrained and bedding materials were added.

    Here's what to know.

What to do if you've purchased any of the recalled products

You should immediately remove the headrest by cutting the tether and the body support insert from the seat pad, the CPSC says, and don't use the swing for sleep. Bedding materials should not be added to the swing either.

Fisher-Price is also providing a $25 refund to those who remove and destroy the headrest and body support insert. To receive your refund, visit service.mattel.com .
