The Buffalo Bills will face a battle for the lead in the AFC East Monday night when they take on the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium and they may be without several key pieces.
On Saturday, Sean McDermott update the playing status of several players, including James Cook, Khalil Shakir and Ed Oliver.
Cook will be listed as questionable for the game as he tries to battle through a foot/toe injury. He finished the Houston game last week , but he suffered the injury late when he landed awkwardly after a tackle and he has not practiced this week. He did see limited practice time Saturday.
If Cook cannot play, seventh-year veteran Ty Johnson and rookie fourth-round pick Ray Davis will see increased roles.

Shakir will be listed as questionable. He has shown slight improvement through the week, but he will most likely be a game-time decision.
If he can't play, that will create problems for a team that has gotten very little production from the other four receivers who have played - Curtis Samuel, Keon Coleman, Mack Hollins and Marquez Valdes-Scantling.
