    Editor’s Note: The church calendar was not published in this week’s edition of the Demopolis Times. Here is the church calendar of events in its entirety. The Times regrets the error and is happy to set the record straight.

    This Week

    • Eastern Star Baptist Church will have its vacation Bible school through Thursday, June 27, from 5-7:30 p.m. nightly. The Rev. Terry Gosa is the pastor. The church is located at Arcola Road and Third Avenue in Demopolis.

    • The first Mount Pleasant District Association Christian Education Congress will be held Thursday and Friday, June 27-28 at Morning Star Baptist Church. The Rev. Dr. Ralph Marshall is pastor. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. Thursday. All district churches are encouraged to attend. The Rev. Abraham Jones is the congress president. Minister Michelle Dill is the dean. The Rev. Joseph P. Harper will be the moderator.

    • Old Spring Hill Global Methodist Church has invited a special guest for its fifth Sunday singing, who will lead music and special singing. The church is located at 95 County Road 35 in Gallion.     Upcoming

    • First United Baptist Church, located at 4481 County Road 20 in Forkland, will be celebrating family and friends day, homecoming and its church anniversary on Sunday, July 7, at 2 p.m. The Rev. Kenneth Mason is pastor. The Rev. Pherelle Fowler will serve as guest speaker. Everyone is invited to fellowship. Revival services will be at 7 p.m. nightly July 8-10 with Pastor Wendel Charleston of Fairview Baptist Church as guest speaker.

    • Saint Paul Missionary Baptist Church will host the Higher Ground Rural Area Fellowship School of Ministry Summit through July 27. The presiding prelate will be Bishop JD Webb. Also presiding are Bishop Oliver N. Williams and Bishop-Designate Jamie L. Landers. Early bird registration is $15 until July 1 and $20 after July 1. T-shirts are also available for $15.     • Saint Paul Baptist Church invites the public to be a part of its Sunday worship. Sunday School begins at 9:30 a.m. and morning worship begins at 10:30 a.m. Dr. Jeffery D. Webb is the Pastor. Saint Paul Baptist Church is located at 1809 Old Springhill Road in Demopolis.

    • Mount Olive Baptist Church will be hosting grief classes every second Monday of each month. Phillip White is the Pastor. The church is located at 12024 U.S. Highway 80 in Gallion.

    • The Christian Chapel Baptist Church family welcomes you to join us in worshiping Christ. On Sundays, Sunday School begins at 9 a.m. Morning worship begins at 10:45 a.m. On Wednesdays Bible Study begins at 6 p.m. New members classes are held on Sundays at 9:30 a.m. and Wednesdays at 5 p.m.

    • Friendship Baptist Church on Highway 80 East in Demopolis would like to welcome everyone to fellowship with them on Sundays. Sunday School begins at 9:15 a.m., and morning worship begins at 10:15 a.m. The Rev. Patrick Simmons is the Pastor.

    • Eastern Star Baptist Church on 701 Third Avenue welcomes everyone to join them on Sundays at 9:30 am for Sunday School, and morning worship at 10:30 am. The Rev. Terry L. Gosa is the Pastor.
