NKY Round-Up: Cooper rolls
Offense was the theme tonight as several teams lit up the Kentucky scoreboard. Cooper continued their strong rise as a program and Ryle stayed undefeated in our NKY Round-Up. Two of the better offenses in Kentucky went to battle as Beechwood and Campbell County went to battle on Friday night. The Tigers and Camels showed off their athletes and precision in their offensive gameplans. Camels quarterback Lucas Anthrop backed up his week one performance as he hooked up with tight end Garyn Jackson for a pair of scores in the first half. Jackson also had two interceptions to help the Camels defense.

Unbeknownst to many, the famed Kentucky statesman, Henry Clay, was a very successful breeder of horses and the blood of his horses still runs in thoroughbreds today. LEXINGTON, Ky. – WKU Volleyball's first sweep of the 2024 season came against Northern Kentucky University in Game Two of the Bluegrass Battle, improving the Hilltoppers to 2-0. Sophomore middle hitter Izzy Van De Wiele had a standout match for the Tops, collecting a career-high nine blocks and a .368 hitting percentage. Alongside Van De Wiele offensively was fellow sophomore middle hitter Gabby Weihe who posted a blistering .412 hitting percentage, and senior rightside hitter Kenadee Coyle who hit .364.
