A $138,800 patio project at Cattail Crossing Golf Course will get a second chance at approval Monday when the Watertown City Council gathers for a work session. Supporters of the patio, which will be constructed directly east of the clubhouse, were expecting the project’s low bid to receive council approval at its May 29 meeting. But a few hours before the meeting, Mayor Ried Holien said the item had been removed pending review of certain details.

SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) — Supporters of a Constitutional Amendment ballot measure in South Dakota are coming out swinging. They’re calling Amendment G on the abortion ban the Freedom Amendment. Today, they announced Watertown native Nancy Turbak as chair of the campaign. She wasted no time calling on Governor Kristi Noem to call a special session of the legislature to immediately repeal the abortion ban now in effect. Turbak says an immediate repeal is needed to provide care to victims of rape and incest.
