Five SD communities receive Community Challenge grants
A-A-R-P has announced its 2024 Community Challenge grant recipients this week, including several in South Dakota. Nearly 4-million dollars is going out to about 350 organizations nationwide to fund quick-action projects to make communities more livable. South Dakota organizations have received a total of nearly 320-thousand dollars since 2017, supported by the state’s A-A-R-P chapter.
140 Build Dakota Scholarship recipients sign for their futures at Western Dakota Tech
RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) - 140 students signed their commitments to join the Build Dakota Scholarships program, attending Western Dakota Technical College with tuition paid for by sponsoring companies. After graduating in two years, these students will go on to work for those companies, filling high-demand jobs and remaining in the state of South Dakota for the first few years of their careers.
