Structure #06-150-219 Work to Begin June 12
Work will begin on June 12, 2024, on Structure number 06-150-219 which is located on 469th Avenue between 217th Avenue and 218th Avenue. Brookings County crews will be removing guardrail and excavating the bridge ends to expose the abutments to allow our contractor to repair the bridge concrete abutments and parapet retrofit for guard rail, following those repairs by the contractor Brookings County crews will install bridge end back fill and add additional material to the shoulders to allow for installation of guardrails. Expect a 3-week closure of this structure. There will be no designated detour.
Watertown Police Apprehend Fugitive at Super 8 Motel
{KXLG - Watertown, SD} Following up on the previously reported incident at the Watertown Super 8 Motel, which the Watertown Police Department (WPD) reported as a coordinated operation on May 30, 2024, the WPD successfully executed a search warrant and apprehended 45-year-old Jason Doucette, a fugitive wanted on multiple warrants from South Dakota and Minnesota. The arrest occurred at the Super 8 Motel at 503 14th Ave SE in Watertown, SD.

According to their website, the SDHSRA aims to "provide an opportunity to participate in the highly competitive and rewarding sport of rodeo while offering a stepping stone for our students to move on to other "arenas" after high school graduation, be they rodeo or academic arenas."
