BROOKINGS, S.D. – SDSU Extension is offering western South Dakota residents a hands-on agricultural learning opportunity at one of its research farms. The West River Field School is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. MT on June 18, 2024, at the SDSU West River Research Farm near Sturgis. It is free, and lunch will be provided.

Max Flatten and Sam Spies are both from Watertown and played on the same baseball team as children. However, Spies’ family moved to Sioux Falls when they were in the second grade.

RAPID CITY, S.D. (KEVN) -The Post 22 baseball team hosted Brookings for a doubleheader Thursday afternoon. The Hardhats got the sweep winning 20-8 and 10-0. In game one Alex Dietrich drove in 3 runs on 4 hits with a home run. In game two Hayden Leighty tossed a five inning no-hitter. The Hardhats have now won 13 games in a row and will host Casper on Saturday and Sunday.

A $138,800 patio project at Cattail Crossing Golf Course will get a second chance at approval Monday when the Watertown City Council gathers for a work session.
