PATROL INCIDENT REPORT
According to reports of Troop I of the Missouri State Highway Patrol:. • Tyler E. Callahan, 32, of Bunker, was arrested at 2:35 p.m. June 21on charges of DWI and driving while revoked. Callahan was held in the Dent County Jail and later released.
Candidate forum scheduled for July 11 at community center
A candidate forum will be held 6 p.m. July 11 at the Salem Community Center @ the Armory, according to Denver Ellis, who is organizing the event. Ellis, who is a candidate for Dent County Second District Commissioner, emailed The Salem News Friday with details about the forum. He said there is no group sponsoring the event, that he organized it “because it’s important for people to hear directly from the candidates.”

Charge now filed against Wisconsin man involved in DWI ATV crash in Dent County
A Wisconsin man is now charged with causing a DWI ATV accident with serious injuries in Dent County. The crash happened in April on a county road about a mile west of Salem. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says Garrett Mueller, 20, of West Salem, Wisconsin, was driving the ATV over a cattle guard when he lost control. The ATV overturned, ejecting Mueller. He was flown to a St. Louis-area hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
