County Roundup: Respectable track efforts lead to unified state berth; several regional finalists

The size of Brenham and Burton’s regional track representation may have been completely different. However, both schools showed they were more than capable of their respective big stages.

Washington County’s track and field programs saw seven running events qualify out of preliminary races and into regional finals on Saturday. Of those seven, though, none were able to book their ticket for the state finals in Austin.
