City begins charter review and amendment process

During its regular session earlier this month, the Brenham City Council began the review of the city of Brenham Charter, which has not been updated since 2015.

No suggestions for changes were made, though City Secretary Jeanna Bellinger did inform the council members present that, in beginning their review, she and city attorney Cary Bovey already had identified a few administrative changes that would need to be made to follow updated state laws.
