County to hold election for new district clerk

Washington County commissioners approved the bond request for interim District Clerk Suzette Blakey in addition to the meeting minutes from April’s meetings, the weekly accounts payable report and to request the county’s portion of funds from unclaimed capital credits.

Elected official Tammy Brauner has stepped down from her position, Precinct 3 Commissioner Kirk Hanath told the court. Since she was only about midway through her latest term, the county had to appoint an interim district clerk for the 21st and 335th Judicial District Courts.
