Denton will be microsurfacing roads across the city: Here’s what you need to know

Denton will be performing roadway microsurfacing throughout June. This surface treatment serves to extend the life of a roadway by five to seven years and protect the underlying pavement from moisture penetration, oxidation and degradation, according to the city.

The process will begin June 4 and is planned to wrap up by the end of the month. Microsurfacing requires warm, dry conditions, so exact scheduling will depend on weather conditions.
