    For local entrepreneurs, crafting counts in drafting a winning grant application

    Many entrepreneurs are turning to grants to help fund their businesses.

    Funding is a critical issue for most startups as many new businesses fail. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, approximately 20.4% of businesses fail during the first two years of opening, 49.4% during the first five years and 65.3% during the first 10 years. Only 25% of new businesses make it to or beyond 15 years.
