Truck driver arrested after striking MLK Jr. bridge on Loop 288

Denton police on Thursday arrested a 32-year-old truck driver who allegedly drove off after striking the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Pedestrian Bridge on Loop 288.

At about 9:08 a.m., a caller reported that a truck carrying an excavator exceeding the height restrictions struck the pedestrian bridge.
