Smoothie King is opening a location at 2317 W University Drive #101 in Denton, according to a recent filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. The filing estimates a completion date sometime this summer.

The new spot will be part of the expansive shopping center, University Village, serving freshly blended smoothies and bowls, free of syrups, or artificial flavors, colors and preservatives.

Smoothie King, founded in 1973 by Steve Kuhnau, began as a health food store in Kenner, Louisiana, with a mission to provide nutritious alternatives to fast food. Over the years, it evolved into a global franchise, offering a diverse menu of smoothies tailored to various health goals, including fitness, wellness, and weight loss. The menu features a wide array of blends, from classic fruit smoothies to high-protein options and even vegan alternatives, catering to a broad spectrum of dietary preferences.

Notably, Smoothie King prides itself on using high-quality, whole fruits and ingredients in its recipes, ensuring freshness and nutritional value in every sip. With a commitment to promoting a healthier lifestyle, Smoothie King continues to innovate its menu, consistently introducing new flavors and nutritional enhancements to meet the evolving needs of its customers.
