    Quite a bit of change is coming to high school sports across the state this school year, and local teams are no exception.

    The UIL's biennial realignment brought the first big changes as some squads changed classifications and others shifted to new districts that could present unique challenges. Then came the approval of a new playoff format, which will have many districts in volleyball, basketball, soccer, softball and baseball follow the same two-division system currently used in 6A football.
