There’s a heat warning on this Tuesday evening, yet more than 80 people, many of them neighbors, have gathered outdoors on a driveway behind Taco Bell on University Drive in the North Lakes neighborhood.

They are gearing up for a battle against Austin-based InvestCor over a proposed five-building apartment complex with about 200 units in an area that has about 3,000 units within two miles of the residential neighborhood.
