DENTON (KDAF) — Get ready, Denton County! Hillwood is planning a 6,000-home development called Landmark on the 3,200-acre Hunter Ranch property at I-35W and Robson Ranch Road. This area, part of Hillwood’s grand vision for AllianceTexas, is considered the gateway to Denton.

Landmark will feature a geography with Pilot Knob, a historic, tree-covered hill that was a landmark for Native Americans and cattle drives. The masterplan includes a 1,100-acre green ecosystem, a 300-acre entertainment and park district, trails, and parks with educational programs in partnership with the Denton school district.

In addition to homes, Landmark will have commercial mixed-use space and over 3,000 multi-family housing units. Hillwood plans to break ground in September, with the first homes ready by spring 2026.
