Denton City Council will be hosting the final public hearing at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday shortly before it votes on the Southeast Denton Area Plan that is proposed to improve infrastructure, expand the area’s boundary and allow for more apartments.

The plan includes certain requirements for new apartment construction as part of overlay districts, such as height restrictions of two or three stories in residential areas. They could be similar to the apartments mixed with retail space near Fry Street.
