New in Berkeley: Bakery by Day, Italian Food by Night

Night Off, a new Italian dinner concept from the owners of Bakery Four, is coming soon to the shop. The company announced the news on Instagram last month that its 4150 Tennyson St. property will have dual-use.

This new venture is sure to have the same popularity as the super successful Bakery Four. There has been an almost cult-like following of the business, which is owned by Shawn Bergin and his wife Alex Urdanick.

With Night Off, the property will transform after 1 PM to go from serving up sweets to serving savory dinners. The menu will feature an array of handmade pasta, entrees such as lasagna bolognese, and sides like fresh sourdough bread.

The Bakery Four space is a small venue, which will create an intimate and personal vibe for Night Off. There is an open dining room with seating for 40, and the eatery will operate on a reservation-only basis.
