Palace Arms Restaurant Temporarily Closes for a Reimagining

The iconic Palace Arms restaurant is temporarily shutting down service while the space undergoes a transformation. This revered establishment, nestled within the historic confines of The Brown Palace at 321 17th St., will see several changes once it reopens again.

According to 9 News, the downtown eatery closed this weekend. Executive Chef Kim Moyle will oversee revitalization efforts as the establishment refreshes its menu and overall experience. While it is closed, Ellyngton’s, Ship Tavern, and the Churchill cigar bar offer other options for dining.

Palace Arms opened in 1950 and has long been synonymous with elegance and fine dining in Denver. A spokesperson told What Now Denver the restaurant will “evolve to best meet the interests of guests and locals…weaving in fresh and modern offerings, alongside upholding many of the time-honored traditions that the iconic hotel is known for.”

The restaurant’s menu offerings have ranged from caviar to elk chops and Chilean seabass to salmon, and appetizers like salads, coups, burrata, and chili. The place also has a commendable wine list and dessert menu. All new specials will be available when it reopens.
