DENVER (KDVR) — Colorado and the Denver area were blasted with strong winds on Sunday and Monday.
The storm knocked out power for thousands , caused damage that snarled traffic for hours on Interstate 25 and even flipped a tethered plane at Centennial Airport.
Reported gusts ranged from 45 mph on the Western Slope to even higher readings across the Front Range corridor, topping at 96 mph near Colorado Springs early Monday morning.
