Avalanche get great Devon Toews news

The Colorado Avalanche are gearing up for a crucial Game 5 matchup against the Dallas Stars on Wednesday. If the Avalanche lose, their season will end.

With the immense pressure for the Avalanche heading into this contest, head coach Jared Bednar provided a marvelous update regarding Devon Toews. The Avalanche's bench boss confirmed that the star defenseman will return to the lineup for Game 5.

Toews, 30, missed Game 4 against the Stars due to an illness. However, the Abbotsford native appears to be feeling better, as evidenced by this wonderful news.

Getting Toews back for Game 5 is massive for the Avalanche, as he is their top defenseman after Cale Makar. Toews' extremely dependable two-way play will be great for the Avalanche to have again in their lineup. With that, they will get a significant part of their penalty kill back.
