Glo Noodle House debuts happy hour menu

Fresh off its Bib Gourmand recommendation , Glo Noodle House wants to entice more people to try its Asian-inspired cuisine with a new happy hour.

Dig in: The West Highland restaurant debuted a happy hour menu this month that features several exclusive items, including temaki sushi, bao buns and yakitori, which features meat like chicken on food skewers, and three cocktails.

Best bites: The fried chicken bao bun.

    • Perfectly crispy and perfectly matched with a pickle slice, that at first seemed like an odd pairing choice, that's glazed with hoisin sauce between a fluffy bun. I could have eaten 10.

What to try: The "Ball Out" appetizer sampler comes at hefty $30, but it does include two of every food item on the menu (except the dumplings, which, by the way, are magnificent).

    • The Fireworks cocktail, a citrusy mezcal drink, is your best choice.

What to expect: For a happy hour menu, the prices do seem high — but it's worth a splurge for the flavors.

Stop by: The happy hour runs daily from 4-6pm.
