Denver Broncos legend has a very positive message for the Las Vegas Raiders entering the 2024 season

The Las Vegas Raiders and Denver Broncos are not friends by any means. They do not like each other. They are two of the biggest rivals in the history of the NFL , with some gruesome history against one another. The Raiders and Broncos have met 129 times, with the Raiders leading the series 73-53-2.

The Raiders have to play the Broncos twice a year, every year, so you can see why they don't really like one another in that aspect too. The Raiders have beaten the Broncos a lot in the last four years or so. In fact, they have never beaten the Las Vegas Raiders, as the last team they beat wearing silver and black was the Oakland Raiders. Either way, the rivalry is a bloodbath.

So, when you hear a former Broncos player give a positive message to the Raiders entering the 2024 season, it can be much of a surprise.

“Yeah, Aidan [O'Connell] was down here sitting with us. Love the kid," Broncos legend Shannon Sharpe said while in Las Vegas when asked about the Raiders offense in 2024. "I just talked to Davante Adams yesterday. I wish the Raiders great luck against everybody in the NFL, except my Broncos.”

Now, Sharpe is one of the greatest tight ends of all time and is a guy that many players looked up to when he was in the league. And now he is part of the media, as he is working for ESPN doing First Take with Stephen A. Smith. He has a close relationship with a lot of players in the league, especially Adams. So, when he says he wishes them luck, it's more so that he wants Adams to have a great deal of success.

The Raiders will take any compliment they can get, though, especially from a guy who has little say in how much national media recognition they are getting. Sharpe is just a dude that even Raiders fans like.
