Denver ranked among the 'most luxurious cities' in the US along with another Colorado spot

A company called Dominion just created a ranking of the 100 most luxurious American cities in 2024, and two Colorado cities made the list.

To create the rankings, researchers collected data on luxury factors including the count of 5-star apartments, exclusive 5-star resorts, 5-star hotels, Michelin-starred restaurants, availability of fine dining, private jet services and more. The data was normalized for each parameter on a scale from 0 to 1 to standardize the data and eliminate any biases. Scores were calculated across all factors and combined to determine the overall scores and rankings. Sources included Booking.com, TripAdvisor, Yelp, Guide Michelin, and more.

Denver ended up ranking the highest among Colorado spots, landing in 16th place. The city scored 26th for hotels, 17th for food, 71st for travel options, 9th for recreation, 12th for shopping, 29th for clubs, and 16th for beauty and wellbeing.

Denver is home to plenty of fancy hotels, including The Brown Palace Hotel and Spa , The Ritz-Carlton , and The Crawford Hotel , which includes the historic Union Station (which features several places to eat and shop).

Downtown Denver also has plenty of options for fine dining, including Fruition Restaurant , Rioja , Guard and Grace , and many more. The Mile High City has great shopping as well, including Larimer Square, 16th Street Mall, and the Cherry Creek Shopping Center.

Colorado Springs was included on the list at 71st place. The Broadmoor is a luxury resort located in Colorado Springs that features 20 restaurants, cafes, and lounges, two golf courses, a spa, and 20 retail outlets.
