Denver weather: Scattered storms, extra clouds to end the week

DENVER ( KDVR ) — The Mile High City and the Front Range will see extra clouds on Friday with scattered thunderstorms in the afternoon in the Denver weather forecast.

Weather today: Scattered storms

Friday will start with good sunshine, but clouds do build in throughout the day as highs reach the 90-degree mark.

Scattered storms are possible in the afternoon for the high country with stronger storms across the far Eastern Plains later in the afternoon.

Weather tonight: Mostly clear

Skies will have extra clouds early and clear after midnight. Overnight lows will dip into the lower 60s with a light wind.

Looking ahead: Cooler weekend, storms continue

Saturday also has scattered storm chances in the afternoon with extra clouds. Highs on Saturday will be mild in the middle 80s.

Sunday will be “cooler” as highs will only be in the lower 80s with partly cloudy skies and good afternoon storm chances.

Monday starts the next week with more sunshine in the forecast, but storms are possible as highs stay in the lower 80s.

Tuesday is a few degrees warmer as highs will make it to the middle 80s with a very small storm chance.

Mostly sunny skies are back for Wednesday as highs are near seasonal averages in the low 90s. Thursday is another warm Denver afternoon with sunny skies and highs in the low 90s.
