Denver weather: Cool start to the week, sunshine and warmer weather on the way

DENVER (KDVR) — More showers and cool temperatures are in Denver’s weather forecast Monday, ahead of sunshine and a warming trend.

Weather tonight: Clearing, cooler

Showers and thunderstorms will clear Sunday night. Temperatures will fall to the mid-50s, which is about 5 degrees cooler than normal for this time of year.

Weather tomorrow: Afternoon showers

Monday will start off with sunshine, followed by increasing clouds and the chance for a few afternoon showers. There will also be increased smoke in the area from Canadian wildfires.

High temperatures will stay cooler than normal, and only reach the low to mid 80s.

Looking ahead: Sunshine and a warming trend

Sunshine and warmer temperatures return to the forecast on Tuesday. Tuesday’s highs will reach the upper 80s, which is just a couple of degrees above average.

Sunshine will help keep a warming trend going through the end of the week with highs rising to the mid-90s.
