    Denver weather: Another day of smoke, then improving conditions

    DENVER ( KDVR ) — Most of Colorado, and especially the Front Range, will see another day of smoke and haze in the sky with warm highs in the middle 90s in the Denver weather forecast.

    Weather today: Smoky skies

    With another day of smoky skies over the eastern half of Colorado, there are air quality alerts until 4 p.m. along the Front Range and Denver metro area. The rest of the alerts along the plains and south along Interstate 25 will end at 9 a.m. Wednesday.

    Skies will be sunny with smoke and haze through the evening hours. Highs are above average in the middle 90s with a light wind.

    Weather tonight: Clearing skies

    Skies over Denver Wednesday night will be clear as lows dip into the middle 60s. Winds are light, and a large amount of smoke and haze is expected to clear.

    Heat builds in by Thursday afternoon with highs in the upper 90s and mainly sunny skies.

    Friday has extra clouds through the afternoon with chances for some pop-up storms. High temperatures on Friday will be above average in the middle 90s.

    Saturday kicks off the weekend with partly sunny skies, hot highs in the lower 90s and small storm chances.

    Sunday looks to have more sunshine in the afternoon with hot highs in the middle 90s.

    Monday begins the next week with abundant sunshine and hot highs in the mid-90s. Tuesday is a few degrees warmer with temperatures in the upper 90s and sunny skies.
