    Denver weather: Saturday showers and more above-normal temperatures

    DENVER (KDVR) — More showers are in Denver’s weather forecast Saturday ahead of the return of hot and dry weather that will approach record temperatures.

    Weather tonight: Clearing, seasonal

    Showers and thunderstorms will clear Friday night. Temperatures will be seasonal and fall to the lower 60s.

    Weather tomorrow: Sunny, chance for showers

    Saturday will start with sunshine. Then, as highs climb to the 90s, clouds will increase ahead of a few afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms.

    Looking ahead: Hot, sunny

    A dry and hot weather pattern moves in starting Sunday. On Sunday, high temperatures will climb to the mid-60s, which is a little more than 10 degrees above normal for this time of year.

    Temperatures in the upper 90s then move into the forecast for the first half of the week and will put several days in record range.

    Monday is on track to fall shy of the daily record, which is 97 degrees set in 2005. Tuesday and Wednesday will reach the upper 90s, which is just shy of the record of 101 degrees and 100 degrees, respectively.
