Denver weather: Hot, dry and smoky before rain chances return

DENVER (KDVR) — Smoke from Colorado wildfires will continue to impact Denver’s weather by lowering air quality as a hot and dry weather pattern continues before the return of rain chances.

Weather tonight: Smoky sky

Smoke will linger over an otherwise clear sky on Wednesday night. Temperatures will drop to the lower 60s, which is seasonal for this time of year.

Weather tomorrow: Hot and dry

More hot and dry weather is in the forecast for Thursday.

Smoke will continue to come into the area from active fires, lowering air quality and adding a haze to the sky.

Looking ahead: Staying hot, rain chances rise

Friday will start with sunshine. As highs climb to the mid-90s, clouds will increase ahead of a few afternoon showers.

Drier conditions will move in again on Saturday. Signs of relief are on the way by the start of next week, with a more monsoonal pattern increasing the chance for showers and helping lower temperatures.
