Marvin Mims Jr Needs To Impress Fantasy Managers

Marvin Mims Jr. is another WR entering his sophomore year who’s facing even more competition with the Broncos this season. Mims has the benefit of being a second-round pick but spent his rookie year fighting for targets in a crowded receiver room that included Jerry Jeudy and Courtland Sutton.

Mims showed flashes with the limited playing time he was given and racked up 377 yards and 22 receptions with an almost laughable 7.4% target share. Mims began his career with some fantasy success (Week 2, 20.30 FFP, WR9, & Week 3, 16.60 FFP, WR12); one of the weeks, he had a kick return for a touchdown, so he does have some versatility. However, outside those two weeks, Mims failed to finish inside the top 50 WRs.

Despite the departure of Jerry Jeudy to the Browns, Mims is more than likely not going to be seeing the field as much with the offseason introductions of WRs Troy Franklin and Josh Reynolds.

Although he’s shown flashes of potential, there’s no space in the Broncos’ offense for Mims to get adequate playing time on the field. Marvin Mims Jr. has an ADP of 16.6 and is ranked as the 70th receiver in the draft.

Our consensus projections for Mims in the 2024 season would be: 27 receptions, 393 yards, 3 touchdowns through the air and 10 carries for 62 yards and 1 rushing touchdown.
