It's officially a new six-year, $76.801 million contract (the sixth year is voidable) that includes a four-year, $72 million extension, (He also has $2 million All Pro incentive each year from 2025-28 that brings max value to $84.801 million). His first two years (including 2024) of $24 million of fully guaranteed. He has another $21 million that is likely to be guaranteed in the future.

Out since early June with a left oblique strain, Colorado Rockies infielder/outfielder Kris Bryant was activated off the 10-day injured list on Tuesday. In a corresponding move, outfielder Sean Bouchard was optioned to Triple-A Albuquerque. Bryant, 32, played in three rehab games at Triple-A over the weekend and went 6-for-11 with two homers. Limited to 24 games this season due to injuries, Bryant has hit .186 with two homers and 10 RBIs in 101 at-bats for Colorado. Bryant, the No. 2 overall pick in the 2012 draft, a four-time All-Star and 2016 National League MVP with the Chicago Cubs, is in the third year of a seven-year, $182 million contract.
