Bealls’ announcement adds to revival at Warsaw shopping center
WARSAW — Three years ago, MarketPlace of Warsaw was nearly empty and city officials were wondering if it would even remain open. But on Tuesday, Sullivan Wickley, an Atlanta, Ga., developer — with some financial support from the city of Warsaw — announced the future arrival of the Florida-based Bealls (pronounced “Bells”), a retail chain that will open west of Gabe’s storefront.
Warsaw Code Enforcement Continues A Number Of Cases
Seven cases were continued at the Warsaw code enforcement hearing Tuesday. Cathy Wade provided an update on a house at 815 E. Clark St. Building Inspector Robert Hurford did an inspection on Monday, and the bathroom was not finished; however, Wade stated that later that night, the bathroom was completed. She provided photos of the water running. Wade stated that an obstacle to completing the updates was that NIPSCO projected it would take up to six weeks to install a gas meter. Gas is needed for her hot water heater and gas stove.
