Former Penn State cornerback A.J. Lytton killed in car crash
The Penn State football family mourned the loss of former defensive back A.J. Lytton following a tragic car accident in Maryland on Saturday. Lytton was a passenger in a vehicle struck by another driver early Saturday morning. He was one of three victims to pass in the accident. The other two victims were high school teammates of Lytton’s, former Oregon cornerback Kyree Jackson, and former Maryland Isaiah Hazel. Lytton was 24. According to the preliminary police report, Jackson and Hazel were pronounced deceased on the scene of the accident by responding emergency medical personnel. The 2024 Main Line high school boys’ lacrosse scene was highlighted by several championship teams. Radnor captured the PIAA 3A state tournament title, Haverford School won the Inter-Ac title, Malvern Prep won the Victory Events National Prep Championship and Episcopal Academy advanced to the PAISAA tournament championship finals. In the Nike/USA Lacrosse High School Boys National Rankings, Malvern Prep (20-2) was ranked No. 3 and Haverford School (20-2) fifth. Other notable teams included Conestoga (13-7), Episcopal Academy (14-7) and Devon Prep (won first-ever District 12 AA title).
