DENVER- Another warm-up has begun - just in time for the weekend as highs return to the mid- to upper-80s. Temperatures will rise into the low-90s Sunday and the summer-like heat will continue into early next week.

A taste of fall across Colorado Thursday, back to summertime over the weekend

There has been an increase in smoke and haze across the northeastern quarter of Colorado as well as Wyoming. This smoke is coming from distant wildfires in the northern Rockies, the Pacific Northwest and southwestern Canada,

Over the next few days, the air quality will not be as good for the Denver area and across the eastern plains. Skies will be a better shade of blue in the mountains and western sections of the state.

Warm and dry weather can be expected across Colorado this weekend and into early next week with just a few gusty thunderstorms possible - mainly in the mountains.

We do not have any large fires in Colorado, but with the hot and dry weather, be extra vigilant so we do not accidentally get something started!
