Upper Moreland man sent to prison for stabbing woman during domestic dispute
NORRISTOWN — An Upper Moreland Township man is headed to prison for domestic abuse after he choked, beat and stabbed a woman as they argued inside the apartment they shared. Darrius Lennard Showers, 33, of the 3800 block of Blair Mill Road, was sentenced in Montgomery County Court to 2 to 5 years in a state correctional institution after he pleaded guilty to felony charges of aggravated assault and strangulation in connection with the Oct. 23, 2023, domestic-related incident at his residence.

Two Convicted in Major Philadelphia Fentanyl Bust
PHILADELPHIA, PA — Gabriel Rivera-Otero, 39, and Angel Reyes-Valdez, 48, were convicted this week for their involvement in a large-scale fentanyl operation.
