Advantage Health Urgent Care now open

A grand opening event was hosted for a new urgent care clinic in DeRidder on Monday.

Advantage Health Urgent Care, 906 North Pine St., is locally owned and operated. Nurse practitioners Heather Daniels, APRN, FNP-C and Tracy Jacobs, APRN, FNP-C hold more than seven years of urgent care experience, with “extensive experience in the pediatric population.”

Jacobs entered the medical field in 1999, and Daniels in 2009.

In a statement, Daniela and Jacobs said their goal was to create a comfortable space for patients that operates on compassion and excellence.

“At Advantage Health Urgent Care, we provide ourselves on providing a level of care that goes beyond the ordinary. What sets us apart from others is the genuine kindness and carefulness of our healthcare team. We understand that when patients come to us, they are seeking medical treatment, but also compassion and support. We will take care of you, like you are part of our family.”

The clinic treats a wide range of non-life-threatening injuries and illnesses, including the flu, colds, UTIs and sprains, and performs sports, DOT, nursing, EMY and pre-employment physicals.

The clinic has various testing offerings: urine drug screens, urinalysis, pregnancy tests, strep, mono, RSV, flu, H. Pylori and COVID-19. Advantage Health Urgent Care is also able to send labs to outside laboratories Quest Disagostics or Physician Group Laboratory (PGL).

Patients can receive weight loss care. In addition to Lipo-B12, offer compounded weight loss medications, Semaglutide and Tirzepatide.

Soon, the clinic will also offer bio-medial hormone replacement therapy, including testosterone and estrogen.
