DES MOINES, Iowa — The historic Highland Park Neighborhood continues its renaissance and regrowth with another year of their Northside Market . Kara Kelso, Northside Market Founder/Highland Park Neighborhood resident and co-owner of Slow Down Coffee is hosting the large neighborhood market Sunday in the Highland Park historic district. What began in 2022 as the Mercantile Market by Des Moines Mercantile owner Mallory Richardson in a parking lot has now turned into a neighborhood shopping experience sprawling two blocks along 6th Avenue and bustling with local vendors.

The Northside Market will be on July 21 from 12pm-6pm on 6th Avenue in the Highland Park Business District between Euclid Avenue and Douglas Avenue. The district will showcase over 100 local makers with various products from pottery to vintage clothing. Food vendors and live music will be on hand as well. This is in partnership with Invest DSM and it is all about strengthening communities and bringing people together.
