A 75-year-old Des Moines man who was last seen on Sunday has been found in Altoona. He is healthy and safe, and police say he will be reunited with his family shortly.

Des Moines police initially put out a call for help finding 75-year-old Pah Nwe around 11:40 a.m. Monday.

Nwe was last seen leaving his home near 32nd Street and Hickman Road in Des Moines on Sunday around 12 a.m., the Des Moines Police Department wrote in a social media post.

Nwe does not have a vehicle or a phone, police said.

He is 5 feet, 3 inches tall and weighs approximately 120 pounds, police said. Nwe was last seen wearing a brown long-sleeve shirt with black pants.

Nwe, who only speaks Karenic, has memory issues and may be confused when approached, police said.
