    Iowa rainfall totals: Pair of Iowa cities received more than 3 inches of rain Sunday

    Rounds of heavy rainfall and severe weather moved through most of the state once again on Sunday night. It'll be just the first round this week, the National Weather Service said .

    Here's how much rain we've gotten in Iowa since Sunday.

    How much rain did we get in Des Moines?

    Des Moines got about 0.55 inches of rain on Sunday. The capital city was just south and west of the most severe weather, with storms triggering severe thunderstorm and tornado warnings in Boone, Story and Jasper counties.

    • Dayton: 4.02 inches
    • Marshalltown: 3.59 inches
    • Sioux City: 2.78 inches
