Glendale Heights, IL – A Glendale Heights man has been denied pre-trial release after allegedly firing a gun and leading police on a high-speed chase on Interstate 88. Elexei Garcia, 34, appeared in court today facing charges of Aggravated Fleeing and Eluding a Police Officer and Reckless Discharge of a Firearm, both Class 4 felonies.

Two men rob Crystal Lake residents at gunpoint
Two Crystal Lake residents arrived at the 6100 block of West Roosevelt Road on July 15 to buy an item for sale from two men. One of the men displayed a black handgun with an extended magazine and stole money from the victims. The men then fled in an unknown direction. The estimated loss is $4,500.
